Join communities - it you like anything, join a gamejolt community! It helps alot when you get featured so your post can be seen more
Get in a fandom - you can likely find other people on this app who has the same interest as you, or make posts about it so that fandom can grow aswell!
Follow people - some people like to follow people back, you can also get a shout out if they're willing to give you one
Grow thicker skin - people dont like drama over pittle things. Get over it. If they put a hate comment who fucking cares, dont attack them for it unless its REALLY bad.
Follow trends - if you see alot of something, its most likely a popular trend! People can search for it and likely find your post
Make friends (?) - Ik, it's rlly not that easy. My friends rarely @ me in things, but that's ok! If they have a bigger fan base than you they likely have other friends their closer with, but! There's a chance they can @ you in stuff too at some point and their followers can search your profile
DONT BE PROBLEMATIC! - if you post nsfw, racist things, homophobic things, people can get really offended and might get you banned! Keep that shit to yourself.
Post original things - DONT COPY SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK! Instead try to practice to get to their level, someone will notice. Also if you post art dont post AI we've seen it alot and will most likely catch on.
Post things you like - it does not matter if a friend told you to post a certain thing that you dont wanna do, this can cause burn out and could leave you no desire to post anymore and could possibly make you wanna quit (plz dont! :( )
Okay.. dont quote me for any of these, im not at all that popular online/irl these are just things I've done to get where i am rn!
