One day Lucas plays a Mario copy, falls unconscious after a series of flashes, and is forever stuck in a dream trying to run away from the nightmare following them

in the first dream, Mario looks completely normal and acts like Mario, but as the dreams loop, Mario starts to become distorted, as the memory and fondness fades away

The Thing is, this being isn't real, and is just a figment of Lucas' imagination, meaning he never truly looks the same, its like an A.I video, nothing remains the same, and its blurry too, but He can't wake up ever.

and every time "Mario" catches He, instead of waking up or feeling the pain, He instead feel a quick jolt and it starts over again, but slightly different, since dreams are never accurate 

its not a demon, nor a ghost, but just a memory, slowly distorting over time, the more the dream loops, the more disfigured and dismantled and Horrific and Non-Heroic "Mario" Becomes
