I've just uploaded the first build of the Darling in the Franxx fan game I'm making by myself.

I do all the code and assembly myself with the Godot engine!
I'm doing all the interface myself along with the animations!
It's a really fun project that I really care about because I'm a huge fan and want to bring a game that does it justice!

Right now there's a little area with some basic gameplay that isn't super impressive but it's the first few hours of development. It's the start to something amazing!
Over time things will be added and upgraded. I'm going to be working on animations and making them nice!
I'll be working on getting the dorms going and making mecha combat a thing!

What's my end dream for this project? To create a fan game that can be mistaken as an official one.
But why? I can't make profit of this game. So why make it and put this level of effort? It's pretty simple. Darling in the Franxx helped me make a massive life decision that's made my life better and brighter! So I feel that if there's one fan game I'm making; I'm putting everything into this one! Plus! Once it's finished I'll have an amazing portfolio piece! New refined skills! Maybe some internet clout! And a framework to create an amazing mecha game that I've always wanted to make.

We have a long ways to go. So, let's get to flying and creating an amazing fan game! And let me know what you want to see in this game! I'm only one fan, and I want to make it a fan's dream game!

I'll credit anyone who's worked on it or has something used in the game which why you'll see an artist who I purchased the 3D model from.

Updated Run Animation!!! I put a bit more time into this one and I think it's getting there! I'm new to animation so it'll take some time to get things looking nice.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
