I have wholeheartedly agreed with everyone’s stands against the heavy reliance on AI now that I’m seeing the big picture more thoroughly, thanks to this video.
At this point, the only good tool so far, when done responsibly, is the text-based chatbots that you talk to without letting it be your main source of communication.
Like I said a few months ago, I used those AI apps (only 2) a lot but only to have a casual talk for a few minutes or use it purely for assistance while also reviewing everything it has to say before I reject anything, and that’s because I know how it behaves. It’s more simpler, unlike how these corporations who believed you should use it across all of your tasks.
And media generation has to be either kept private, personal, or better yet not used at all. Something that thousands wouldn’t understand, I’m sure.
Apple was probably the only good example so far because they made a couple of advertisements on Apple Intelligence, then stopped.
But man. YouTube was part of my childhood and it was better back in the early 2010s because algorithms are very light, slop was very minimal, and things were more memorable.
Content now that the algorithm feeds you is not really worth your time. I do have a strong distaste for short form videos because of how detrimental it is. Sure, there may be good ones, but the vast majority of it are clearly deliberately designed to keep your mind hooked into it.
And somehow, the CEO of YT thinks AI can bring those old days back to life. … Let that sink in for a moment, think about that.
Well, you know what they say. Smaller or more genuine communities are the safest places.
