Wartortle (The Turtle Pokémon)

It is said that this Pokémon can live up to 10 000 years, thus people recognize it as a symbol of longevity. Some trainers also bruth Wartortle's tail frequently for good luck.

Charmander (The Lizard Pokémon)

A flame burns at the tip of Charmander's tail. This represents the Pokémon's general health. It burns brightly when the Pokémon is healthy and goes out once the Pokémon dies.

Squirtle (The Tiny Turtle Pokémon)

Thanks to the rounded shape of its shell, Squirtle can swim at high speeds in the water. It can also spray water from its mouth as a powerful attack.

Caterpie (The Worm Pokémon)

Caterpie can release a horrible stench from its antennas to drive away its enemies, as well as somehow eating leaves bigger then itself.

Charizard (The Flame Pokémon)

Its flames are hot enough to melt boulders, and can even intensify into blue flames if angered enough.

For some reason, Charizard also couldn't use its wings to fly in the early days of Kanto.

Metapod (The Cocoon Pokémon)

After evolution, this Pokémon stays in a cocoon to prepare for its next evolution : Butterfree.

Prototype A-73 is in the game.
