Game
Seven Hours

I'd like to try being a bit more open with my projects instead of quietly developing to myself, so here's a sorta devlog for the remake of Seven Hours At Freddy's!

First of all, I will probably try and post one of these every month, see how this devlog thing goes.

Second of all, I've changed the name of the game, I like the sound of "Seven Hours" a lot more than "Seven Hours At Freddy's", I always abbreviated it when talking to people about it anyway.

Now let's get into the more interesting stuff, I am going to be REMAKING the game, but it won't be the same game. In other words I'm not just reskinning what I had, I'm going to generally keep the same feeling in terms of mechanics, but add a couple and make the game more fun to play and less repetitive.

I currently have the mechanics planned, although they may still be changed. I have story planned, the designs of the characters, and I've only gotten one modeled so far but for good reason!

The reason I don't have much actually *developed* is because I'm actually going to be putting the game into Unreal Engine! This will unfortunately mean it won't be as easy to run as good old Clickteam, but I've always wanted to learn a 3d engine and I thought a game as simple as Seven Hours would work pretty well to learn! Of course I'm not starting with it, I'm working on some throw away projects to get the hang of the program, but so far it's looking good! I will also try my best for the game not to have that "made in unreal engine" feeling, the bad kind, as that's always bothered me. I also don't currently plan to make the game free roam, you will still be restricted but that may change.

That's about all I can think of for now, I'll probably start to post more frequent updates in my Discord after a bit of cleanup, dust off some cobwebs and all that lol. Otherwise, hoping next month I'll have some stuff to show! :)
