As someone who loves all crocodilians in Media, this is not one of them. Lyle is a terrible excuse for a crocodile because funnily enough, it isn't!! It's clearly an alligator colored green for some reason. Alligator have NEVER been green and I'm so tired of cartoon depictions of alligators and crocodiles treated the same way. Green and ferocious. Sure Crocodiles, they are green and mean (pun not intended) most of the time at least, alligators on the other hand are NOT as aggressive as media portrays it to be, kinda like how jaws pretty much ruined perception of sharks. In the second picture is what an actual crocodile looks like, an American crocodile at that. The proper colors of an alligator are blue grey/ black which is obviously, not what Lyle is. He's a weird mix trying to be as cute as possible. I haven't read the book where it's based on but my problems are mostly similar. And the part where he gets taken by animal control and out with the other crocodiles (which is a terrible enclosure), they look somewhat of what an actual crocodile looks like. I'm not even going into his personality and demeanor towards the people because, it's well, a kid's movie.
