Game
Hello Neighbor: A Living Hell

I hate to say it but, this fangame is cancelled.

This game has been worked on for a YEAR, and I loved every second of it. Unfortunately, I have lost interest in game development, and (due to the hype) working on this game felt more like a requirement, not a passion project.

It was fun while it lasted, and of course, thank you for playing this game.

April fools.

You really thought I would can a game that I've been working on for a year? Hell no.

Progress has been going slowly, but the game is improving, let me discuss it:

optimization

I am very well aware about how this game runs, it sucks. and I've seen multiple videos complaining about it, and here's my response:

I hear you.

Currently, I am trying to optimize the game, this goes for:

Levels

LODS

Clearing out/removing unnecessary crap

Reworking some levels (I'll get to that in a minute)

Reworking Phase 1

Now, I am well aware about phase 1's level design, it's weird, and it's unoptimized.

I am still sticking with the alpha 2/1.5 house, I can't (as of right now) model homes.

I already sent a screenshot of the reworked level in a previous post, so I won't post it again.

What about Phase 2?

Phase 2 will be improved, but not entirely changed.

Quality of Life Changes

So far, not that much has changed in terms of making the game is a little less stressful (to be honest, there's not that much that needs change, QOT wise).

Have you ever lost your flashlight in phase 1, and struggled trying to find it?

This has been resolved, whenever you drop a flashlight that you've used originally. it now highlights the flashlight, so you can never lose it again.

Now be happy.

Collision and clipping BS

Ah yes, the collision. I had to fix pay attention to this sooner or later. Right now, I haven't been able to find a permeant fix, but I do have a temporary solution to this problem.

If an object manages to clip through the world, be sure to check your house.

Also, remember when picked up items used to clip through walls once you got close enough?

This has been fixed, from now on, whenever you get close enough to a wall, you should see the item push towards you.

That's all I have much to say about this game, and sorry for the constant delays with the new build, I wasn't exactly happy with beta 1.6, and I wanted to release an update that ACTUALLY improves the game.

Oh and, please play along with the joke, it's April Fools, don't ruin it.

Working on a weapon mod for Half-Life.

Ignore the crappy scope on the Glock model, that's going to be improved.

Phase 1's basement is getting an upgrade.

A small preview of the improved phase 1.
