Why is it useful?:
Since the model will be open .json code, it will be more secure than the .rbxm format because it will be verifiable source code. It is true that it is the old version of the Roblox model formats called . rbxmx, but it is more complicated to read than simple .json and therefore easier to edit on VSCode, even if we agree that it is simpler to use Roblox Studio to edit a model because it is visual, etc.
And also, in theory, it would be easier to create a RetroStudio-like system because instead of creating an editor inspired by Roblox Studio, users could be forced to use the real Roblox Studio and convert their game models to .json and play on a RetroStudio-like system. I know that in theory it's possible, but I'm not the best at designing this type of game.
