Phobia: The Awakening

I have just made a GRAND discovery!

First off, a little backstory for those who may not know.

Did you know Phobia: The Awakening had been in development since February 2020? It was under a different (and perhaps more fitting) title though, known as Brought to Life. I stopped production in July 2020 to re-think things due to some issues the game was having, and also that it was just too much for me at the time. Towards the end of the year, I worked hard to fix these issues, such as make the character models more optimized and fix the problems that was going on. I went on and off that specific project file, trying other ideas, going back, and again. It was exhausting.

During The Awakening's production, I had lost a lot of textures and sounds for Brought to Life after I was organizing some stuff on the computer I was using at the time. I had clicked cut and pasted it elsewhere, and I noticed it only pasted the project's file, and nothing else at all! I was sad, obviously, but I was happy I could still at least play it without some textures. The sounds I copied from The Awakening since they shared them both, and some textures were recovered due to the same reason, so not all was lost! The main thing that was lost was some of the character's textures, and specifically, ALL of the older camera view renders! I now just had the updated ones.

It turns out, however, I didn't lose those old textures at all! They actually got put into a different folder that had the same name! So technically, with only a little bit of moving stuff around, I can have the original version of Phobia: The Awakening (Brought to Life) in the state I had left it! I may plan on seeing if I can get some footage recorded to show off on my YouTube channel. I'm sure people would love to see the stuff I improved during the production of The Awakening!

Had to share this while working because Cap'n Cackle just looks genuinely so happy right here lol.

Really awesome how friendly or terrifying these guys can look with different lighting and texturing.

SHOWMAN'S: The Awakening is roughly 65% done...

Here's a look at Mercury Murray's Wunar Warp, I it made in LittleBigPlanet 3 back in 2018.

It was the first "Phobia" game that ever went public, as it was published on my earth in LBP3. Ever since the game's servers shut down, it is no longer playable.

Trying out the latest Minecraft snapshot today and I have to admit, this is probably going to be my favorite little drop for the game yet. Really loving the small things being added in that make the game feel livelier!

The new cow variants are awesome!
