I havent played it yet and I dont know if I will but...

FNAF Secret of The Mimic... looks kinda good so far (spoilers!!!!!)

to steal someone's comment, these are my thoughts on the artstyle:

I have heard some textures are a bit choppy/cut off in places with text, and a few environments could've been better, especially the driving segment.

but at the same time... I prefer this, it is much better than having millions of tree models everywhere that waste your pc's fps. thats something security breach would've done.

although they definately could've tried to hide this by placing large rocks around the place.

anyways other than that, this style feels pretty good to look at. its not worth screaming about but it doesnt need to be in my opinion, its good, its nice to look and thats all it really needs to be.

Now, this is something I'm already going to see people complaining about, and it's completely okay, since people are allowed to have their opinions, but...

"They look nothing like fnaf characters!"

You know what? yes, while these characters definitely don't resemble the classic FNAF designs we prefer, I think constantly looking back at the older FNAF era, while amazing without question, can sometimes be limiting. The thing is, these designs actually look completely fine and fit perfectly within the game itself. They weren't made for a game like FNAF 1, and you're never going to see them there as a result obviously. They were made specifically for this game's unique environments, and when you see them in action, they're pretty cool. Jackie in particular is pretty cool looking and easily the creepiest so far. Probably my favorite so far until the game introduces some other characters we dont know about yet.

I will not comment on the gameplay as I have not played it yet, if I ever get my hands on the game and play it for abit, then expect me to make a second part of this where I talk about it.

So far this is looking good though, overall obviosuly better than security breach, ever since that game the quality of the games has increased and im pretty proud of steelwool.

Security breach: Bad start

Ruin DLC: Redemption

Help wanted 2: really good

Secret of the mimic: possibly just as good if not better!

I think its really importent to give this game support to let Steelwool know "Hey, this is pretty cool. this is a direciton you can take fnaf in" or something like that.

the vigo launcher as suggested by @Lord2903 , still being worked on by my friend jarate.

Once the textures are added it'll be done.

can you believe it? fnaf's 11th anniversary, just a week away! I am so happy about this information

The Vigo launcher is done, thanks to Jarate. The accompanying footage is also from him.

In other news, the other new weapon being introduced in this mod is also making progress.

First playtest done by @Lord2903 , Feedback was "You made a good game" so I think I'm in the clear.

I'm aiming for a Friday release however no promises, we'll see, I can promise you I'll try my best.

I am a man of my word. It'll be a while before I can show much, but it's happening, and you'll be able to play it with your friends whenever you want, super easily.

was very proud of how I got the texture to look until I put it in game.... gonna change that later.

Everything you see here is far from finished, new textures, player models and more will be done before it reaches its complete state

Fun Fact:

In the files of One Night at Springtrap's 1 there exists images of an unused blink meter

These could've been the replacement for the toxic meter or you could've just blinked every few seconds

It also could've been related to a vent seal

remember when this was at the top page of fnaf for afew years for no reason?
