So during my entire summer vacation I have been re-coding my Backrooms Generation system to be more optimized but mostly to be more easy to use for me, cause the old one was just a mess.
So with Backrooms Generator v3.0 mostly done, I now finally continued on from where I left off before by adding Structures to the game!
Currently the structures are still a prototype. I have made a Blueprint Engine UI that basically makes it possible for me to create a 10x10 chunk Structure.
This structure I can then save as a Structure Dataset, which then is added to the selected Backrooms Generator, since ever Level has it's own generator.
The Backrooms Generator then finds places to spawn structures and spawns structures at those locations randomly based on the seed.
With this system I'll be able to add cool unique rooms like the Holes Room from Kane Pixel's video as shown above in the image.
I do want to note that the Backrooms Generator v3.0 is not as complete as v2.0, cause it has not been made multiplayer safe just yet, so I'll be working on that in the upcoming weeks / months.
