For those that have never watched Hazbin Hotel, there's a character in the show Angel Dust who is an SA (sexual abuse/assault) victim. However, the representation is handled VERY terribly.
First off, the song "Poison" is supposed to describe Angel's trauma of being SA'd through music. How is it done? Does he sing a calm, possibly even upbeat song in his room about his helplessness? FUCK NO!! Instead, it's a techno-dance song that removes any seriousness regarding the abuse and Angel just dances through it like it's a Ke$ha music video. Also, Angel is literally shown getting ABUSED by Valentino (his abuser) in-between the song. The music video is VERY sexual and can definitely trigger victims of SA. (Side note: a warning for SA wasn't added before the episode was uploaded until sometime later, but even then, it is completely tone-deaf). Btw, apparently the storyboarder of Hazbin Hotel draws fetish of Angel and Valentino and once threatened they'll send nudes to a minor.
Next, Angel Dust's way of coping is really tone-deaf and constantly joked about. Abuse is traumatizing and every person has their way of coping (most of the time unhealthy). Angel's is certainly not (druging himself), but it is always fetished and glamorized that it feels like it's sending a message that the situation is light-hearted.
I forgot to mention this, but Angel Dust became hypersexual as a trauma response. However, it is never portrayed seriously and shown as this quirky little thing and part of his personality. Worst part is that Viv shows hypersexuality as being gay. It is a huge stereotype for gay people (mlm) to be portrayed as overly sexual flirts.
This video (made by an actual SA survivor) explains the problem better:
