The first creepypasta was Herobrine, which to me might be a corrupted NPC that notch tried to code for survival mode. After he realized that the NPC wasn't working, Herobrine disappeared into a world of a random player. A few weeks later, notch deletes Herobrine by making a new version of Minecraft inaccessible by Herobrine. Then notch tried again coding a NPC with better coding, this time with a kill switch to stop the ai with the click of a button. He tries activating it, and the ai was stable! But not for long. As he was trying to improve it after he saw a few errors, the skin glitched and the entity disappeared again by going into another world of a random player.

And so null was created, the other creepypastas to me are possibly victims of null.
