Before that, let me just say the portal key is still with Luz. Hunter failed to get the key from Amity but Belos gave him one last chance. If he fails, Belos won't give him tasks to do anymore. So Hunter will fell into deep despair and thought of him as..useless if he didn't succeed.

His job is to try being friends with Luz and betrays her once she trusts him completely. So he pretended to get kicked out from the Emperor's Coven and somehow met Luz again. After explaining about what happened, Luz felt sorry for him and took him in the Owl House.

The reason why Luz trusted him easily because she thought Hunter is a good guy, continuing the episode "Hunting Palismen" so she gave him a chance.

At first Eda didn't trusted the guard but she had to after listening to Luz. Amity also wasn't sure about the idea of him staying there after the events in Eclipse Lake. But because of her girlfriend (Luz) she let him stay. No, Amity is at her own house. She's just worried for Luz's safety.

And yeah, they bonded and etc cause I don't have any ideas yet. At the same time, Hunter secretly reported about what's happening in The Owl House every day. Until one day he was sure he got Luz's full trust, he made his move.

And I am still thinking on how he will get the portal key. I wanted to make Amity coming to the house to visit Luz and saw him stealing the key. But I'm not sure how to add that up yet. So if anyone have any ideas, please let me know! Thanks ^^
