I saw other people doing reviews on FNaF Security Breach here on Game Jolt so I'm going to share my opinion about this game as well.

Warning, this article contains spoilers!

Here's my small review now that I've played this game through.

Story

I think that the story is bad. It makes no sense and there's no explanation as of why is Gregory at the pizzaplex in the first place. The game doesn't explain this. Another thing is the characters but I'll get into that later. I don't understand why they had to bring William Afton back again. I think all of this could've stayed in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator because now Mike's and Henry's attempt to free the children's souls and end it once and for all has gone to waste and the ending is basically meaningless now.

Gameplay

I actually kind of enjoyed playing the game. It was fun to me but it got a little repetetive towards the end. A big problem I had with the gameplay was that it wasn't scary at all. I remember maybe jumping once but that's it. I never felt threatened by the animatronics because the character designs are so friendly looking. Also the relatively bright mall takes away from the intimidation. Especially after you get the Fazer Blaster or the camera, you don't even need to try to be aware of them because you can just stun them and run away. Also the jumpscares are, in my opinion, the worst I've seen in a FNaF game. They are just ridiculous and funny rather than scary.

The performance isn't good either. There are stutters all the time and it really takes away from the gameplay. Also there were a lot of bugs, especially a few days after the game launched.

Graphics

The graphics aren't that good either. Some parts of the mall look very unpolished. The game's performace shouldn't be nearly as bad when considering the graphics. Some textures don't load properly or are very low-res even on ultra settings.

Speaking of settings, I think there should be more graphical options instead of just overall settings. By more options I mean shadow quality, texture quality etc. There isn't even an option to toggle V-Sync which is weird.

The thing I liked about the game was the map design. I think it's nice when you go through the same places many times during the story. It makes the mall more immersive.

Characters

The characters aren't good either in my opinion. There isn't any character developent and everyone is very one dimensional. I didn't care about any of the characters nor would I've cared if they died. Vanny is very irrelevant and she should've appeared way more than she did.

I'd give this game a 5/10. Even though it has a bad story, bad characters and buggy gameplay, I still enjoyed it. Some parts are repetetive and the game is pretty short considering it costs 40 bucks (about 10-15 hours to play through).
I want to remind you that this review is my opinion and you have your own, of course. Let me know what you think of the game.

I respect SteelWool for clearly putting effort to this game and it's nice that they tried something different with a FNaF game.

So is it worth $40? I don't think so. There are better games with that price tag. If you're looking for a horror experience, I recommend actually buying and playing the older FNaF games instead of this one. If you really want to buy the game, I recommend buying it on sale.
