Without picking up any ores from chests or mining any from stone as a challenge I literally got 3 iron from zombie spawners with 2.5% chance for it, captured a zombie villager, crafted a bucket, made a nether portal, got blaze rods, collected gold from Zombified Piglins to make a golden apple, cured the villager, got 60 levels of EXP through all day and went to the end portal and since I already spotted the fortress and got blaze rods, just not enough, it's only a matter of time.
I did all that in 6/7 hours which isn't much considering that I wasn't mining any ores and that is quite a challenge.
It takes time finding a spawner mostly considering that the height may vary.
So as you can see the main progressing seems too fast, we seem lack some more key progression or end-game goals.
