Narrator:
This is Thomas the Tank Engine, He’s a cheeky little engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel and a short stumpy dome. He lives at the big station along with many other engines, although they’re much larger than he is they all often get along. anyhow lets go see how are little blue friend is getting along today
Thomas: Wake up lazy Bones!! Why don’t you wake up and do some hard work for a change!? Hahahaa!
I’m over here shunting trains together, sorting different trucks and coaches around the yard, while your over here sleeping!
Gordon: paaah.. Be off with you! Silly tank engines “groan”
Thomas: “giggle” ya can’t catch me!
Narrator: And off thomas ran away laughing to himself, but once he had left instead of going back to sleep again, Gordon began thinking to himself about how to get back at the little engine
Gordon: eughhh… now how can I possibly get back at him..?
Narrator: The next day, thomas couldn't wake up, his fire wouldnt start, and he couldnt build any steam, but after several hours he finally started
Thomas: oh Im terribly late oh dear oh dear!
Narrator: the tank engine puffed out of the sheds towards the big station.
Eventually thomas arrived at the big station.
Gordon: well well, look who decided to show his face!
Thomas: shut up! Its not my fault my fire couldnt start! Now go to the platform!
Gordon: oh The fat controller didnt tell you?
Thomas: tell me what?
Gordon: Your pulling the express today, he's saying that its a second chance for you, since the last time you ahem, “tried”
Thomas: pahhh, your lying, I wont do it!
Gordon: whos the lazy bones now?
Thomas: oh be quiet you! I will pull the express better than you ever did!
Narrator: before gordon could reply, thomas was already going to the platform and waiting for the coaches.
Thomas: go fetch me my coaches!
Narrator: gordon muttered under his breath before reluctantly shunting some coaches together and slowly shunting them behind the tank engine, James chuckled to himself at the sight of gordon shunting.
James: well well. Look at this! Haha!
Gordon: Shut it!
Narrator: as he grew closer, he didn’t realise how close he was before, the coaches banged against thomas with a loud thud!
Thomas: Ow What the hell Gordon!?!?
Narrator: James barely managed to hold back his laughter at the scene, but luckily no one was hurt. none of the coaches were derailed, but what the engines didnt know. Was the front coaches buffer beam had been damaged and slightly torn.
Gordon: Sorry Thomas
Thomas: its fine. Just dont do that again!
Narrator: soon. A guard blew his wistle and James slowly pulled his goods train away, he grumbled to himself about pulling dirty trucks, then just minutes later. Passengers flooded the station before filling Thomas's train, the coaches rattled and squeaked as the passengers filled them to the brim
Thomas: alright, almost time to go, hey! Are the coaches attached?
Guard: dont worry yourself thomas. Theyre attached.
Thomas: yeah, they better be!
Narrator: before long, the guard blew his whistle and moments later. Thomas started to pull the heavy train away from the station.
Thomas: *huff. Huff* this.. is… a h-heavy traiin!
Gordon: *chuckle* oh poor thomas. Heh, Ready to give in and just accept that you wont even get to Wellsworth?
Thomas: *puff puff* yeaahhh… r-rriiighhtt!
I–I can make it.
Aaccrosss soddorr. T-twwiceee, by noon!
Gordon: hehe. Good luck little thomas. Your gonna need it!
*Insert 10-20 second take of thomas going from the station yard, to the little turn off thing, then to a crossing, then across the viaduct before reaching Wellsworth*
Narrator: Thomas panted as he dragged the heavy coaches across Sodors rails, then after a lot of heaving he eventually made it to the first station, he slowed as he eventually reached the station, before letting off steam.
Driver: Your starting to get a bit low on water, how about a drink?
Thomas: y–yess that sounds.. A-amazing *pant*
Narrator: Thomas’ Driver slowly opened the regulator letting thomas slowly roll to the nearby water tower, before putting the hose into Thomas’ tank cap, then a flood of water slowly filled the little engines water tanks
*Thomas smiles softly, clearly enjoying the drink*
Narrator: soon enough The little engine was all filled up on water, and so the driver got back into the cab and slowly backed Thomas onto the train once again before getting coupled with the coaches.
*Guard Blows whistle*
Thomas *groan* I’m not ready for that stupid hill…
Driver: hey hey, I’m sure you’ll be fine
Narrator: Thomas slowly left the station
*insert thomas leaving Wellsworth*
*insert Thomas travelling to Gordons hill*
Narrator: by midday The little tank engine had finally reached a small bend indicating the Approaching hill, and as he approached the incline, the still damaged buffer beam started to twist slightly as the train started going upward
Thomas: Jesus this hill is s-steepp! I-I Think I need Edward!
Narrator: Thomas’ Driver radioed for Edward to help back the train up the hill as Thomas started to fully feel the weight of all the coaches
Then only a few moments later, Thomas could barely move forward, and the further he went, the slower he became causing him to stall only halfway up.
Thomas: I–I Wonntt leet g-gordon Win!
*Thomas’ wheels slipped fiercely but he eventually stalled*
Narrator: Soon enough Edward arrived to help Thomas up the hill, then Edward slowly reversed up behind the train, and slowly buffered up.
Edward: Are you ready?
Thomas: I-I’ve never been more ready in my life!
Narrator: and with a lot of pushing from the two engines the long and heavy train started to speed up as they got closer to the top of Gordons Hill.
And as Thomas finally got nearer to the top he started going faster without Edwards help, but unbeknownst to them, the buffer beam on the front coach started to splinter and crack as the change in weight and angle was straining on it, and with a loud CRACK! The buffer beam snapped off causing the coaches to thunder back down the hill toward Edward!!.
Thomas: EDWARD WATCH OUT!!!
Narrator: Edward had just started coasting down the hill before he heard the loud snap and the thundering noise of the coaches behind him, his wheels spun faster and faster as he desperately tried to escape the now runaway coaches behind him!
Edwards rods rattled and clanked as he sped back down the hill, as the coaches quickly grew closer!
Edwards Driver: if we can catch them gradually then it’d be easier to stop them!
Narrator: Edward couldn’t reply, he was already out of breath and putting all of his puff into getting away from the coaches, not wanting them or the passengers to get hurt!
Narrator: Then moments later as Edward had reached the bottom of the hill the coaches hit him with a loud THUD! And a CLANK! Edward shot forward now with the new momentum from the coaches! His driver then applied the breaks but edward couldn’t slow down despite getting dangerously close to Wellsworth!
Edwards Driver: I-It’s all up to you now Edward!
Narrator: With all the weight and Steam he had, Edward did all he could to stop the runaway!
Then he saw it. Another Engine was just leaving the station platform!
Edward: MOVE MOVE RUNAWAY RUNAWAY!!!! GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!
Narrator: Edward, his driver and fireman did all they could to stop the train but to nothing, Edward was barely slowing down at all, and he was rapidly approaching!!
Edward: MOVE MOVE MOVE!!!!
Narrator: The engine quickly speed up to move out of the way, thankfully just in time as Edward shot past onto a second line next to the other engine!
ED Driver: That was too close!
Edward: I want to stop, I want to stop!
Narrator: little did they know, Thomas had ran down the hill toward them, hoping to try and help stop them and he was quickly approaching Wellsworth station!
But soon enough Edward had finally started to slow the train down which was just slow enough for Thomas to catch up to them!
Thomas: I’m Gonna help slow you down!
Narrator: a workman from inside the coach had made a small cut in the coach wall to hook thomas onto the coaches coupling hook!
Thomas: COME ON! COUPLE ME UP COUPLE ME UP!!
Workman: I am I am!
Narrator: once Thomas was coupled to the train, his driver applied his brakes!
Thomas: HHNNGGGGG!!!!! NNHHH!!
Edward: HA! W-Were Slowing down!!
Narrator: after many kilometres of the engines and coaches breaks all hard on, the train finally stopped in front of Knapford where, Gordon was waiting
Gordon: hmm, well well well, look who needed my help after all, now Thomas, if you wanted help, all you had to do was ask, you didn't have to push it all the way back with old iron here!
Thomas and Edward: SHUT UP GORDON!!
Edward: These coaches became a runaway because of YOU, YOU shunted them so hard that the buffer beam broke! And Poor Thomas was trying so hard to prove his worth just for it to end up here, both of us had to be coupled up to the coaches because they were so damn heavy, if it weren't for you we wouldnt be here, not to mention of me and thomas hadnt done what we did, these coaches and passengers couldve been badly hurt, or worse!
Fat Controller: AHEM! Whats all this yelling!?
Edward: uhh s-sir–
Fat Controller: no need to explain Edward, I know exactly what happened, and as for YOU Gordon! You’ll be on goods duties until Both Edward and Thomas are mended and out of the works, and as for the coaches and passengers, The passengers will be getting full refunds, plus James and Henry will be taking the express and other passenger services.
Narrator: Edward and Thomas slowly moved the coaches back to the platform where a flood of people came rushing out of the coaches all still shaken up from the runaway.
Fat controller: Gordon, go to your shed and think about what you have done!
Narrator: Gordon slowly puffed away to the sheds.
Gordon: hm, he think he can take my passengers from me!?, no, no he can’t. I’ll show him, I’ll show them all, I’ll show them that I’m the best engine on the line!
Narrator: as gordon went to the sheds he talked himself up so much that he forgot he was even in trouble in the first place until he reached the turntable.
Gordon: Huh, I wander if I can jam this so, No one can get in or out! Haha Im a genius!
Narrator: as his fireman went to man the turntable controls Gordons plan went into action.
Once it was misaligned with other rails, Gordon pushed steam into his pistons causing him to shoot forward enough to block anymore rotation, but he didn’t realise that he had pushed his driver off the foot plate and onto the ground!
Gordon: WAIT WAIT! I CAN’T STOP!!
*show gordon rolling into a ditch*
Gordon: Woosshhh!! No no no! That wasn’t the plan at all!... Now I won’t be able to pull anything!
Gordon Driver: nicely done! Really well done, I can’t aploard you anymore you stupid silly engine!
Gordon: *Groan*
*Show FC office with him on the phone*
Fat Controller: Are you serious!? *groan* well then we’ll just have to pull him out later tonight, all of the engines are either busy with trains or getting repaired, Jesus Christ, that gordon!
*show it go from midday-night*
Narrator: after many many hours of sitting in the cold ditch, finally there was an engine available to help lift and pull gordon out of the ditch he was in using very primitive methods of fake rails under him before a crane was used to lift him off of the ground, but due to his weight pulling him back onto the rails took several hours of constant work.
Fat Controller: Gordon, I expected better than, this uhh tantrum!
Gordon: yes sir…
Fat Controller: Shunt him into his shed!
Jinty: yes sir!
Narrator: Jinty slowly shunted the big engine away into his shed, finally opening up the turntable for the other engines.
Henry: hey what the hell took so long!?
Jinty: hey dont blame me blame this fatty!
Gordon: *groan*
James: oh yea that idiot made Thomas and Edward a runaway! I was at Wellsworth when they came rushing through!
Gordon: IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!!
James: YOU SHUNTED THE COACHES!
Henry: who else could it have been!?
Gordon: *silence*
Narrator: by the next day the engines were all still feeling extremely hateful towards gordon, but still carried on with their day.
Fat Controller: Gordon.. what do I do with you?
I bought you for the purpose of pulling passengers, and now here you are.
What do you have to say for yourself?
Gordon: I-Im.. sorry… I-I dont know why I retaliated the way I did..
Fat Controller: hmm, well I dont accept your apology, but maybe being in your shed for a few days until Edward and Thomas are back from the works, then you can apologize to them for causing them so much trouble?
Gordon: y.. yes sir
*FC walks away*
*fade to end sequence*
