Earlier today I was taking a trip down memory lane when I noticed something... wrong. You see, when pasting the Five Nights at Freddy's 3 Steam Greenlight link into the Wayback Machine, and going at the earliest date possible, you'll immediately notice something different.

The Five Nights at Freddy's 3 we all know seems to be replaced with what looks like an alternate one. Perhaps some beta build? But I've never heard of anything like that. When scrolling down, you get to see an announcement from Scott Cawthon himself.

Funnily enough, Scott announces a release date for December 23rd, despite the FNaF 3 everyone knows releasing around 3 months later! Now if you scroll further down, you'll notice a different description, completely different from the one on the current Steam page.

By the looks of it, this version of the game was also gonna be a sequel to the first two games, taking place in the first game's pizzeria. It also seems like most of the old cast was returning? Though if you pay attention to the first picture, you can see a cat-shaped silhouette. Maybe it's the gift-giving animatronic in question?
