I've unofficially installed Server 2008 R2 updates on my PC. I didn't install the update sooner, probably because I thought installing Server 2008 R2 updates on Windows 7 would cause issues. But after installing the update. I don't have issues so far.
Next up
Just letting you know that Minecraft still runs on Windows 7 today.

Not sure if you guys have noticed yet, but Windows 7 market share recently spiked to nearly 10% and this is when Windows 10 is about to lose support.
