Instead of it being a spooky demon or a ghost haunting a video game. It’s just a pirated version of an ORIGINAL game(no Mario, no sonic, no actually real icons, that’s been done to death.) The reason it should be a “pirated” version cause it provides a sense of realism. Other games have done a similar thing(take for example, cup head and it’s distorted music if you pirated the game.) it would give a sense of eeriness to it.
