I think its pretty obvious why anyone would validly report a post that actively slanders them, says they are a terrible person of accuses them of things they haven't committed.

Like, yeah, if I report a post and it gets taken down, it might be because its slandering my name, making me look like a horrible person to all of your followers and sharing lies that don't do nothing more but hurt me.

Gamejolt has very strict rules when it comes to what is and isn't harassment, and one of the things that it believes is harassment is making call out posts against someone, specially in posts that actively incentivize your fans mass reporting them.

They even take down posts where you just showcase one bad quality of a person while actively stating to your fans not to report them - I know because I made one of those a while back, and got an email that went like "Even if you state to your fans not to report or go after the user, there is still a risk of said even happening, and as such, we have chosen to delete your post."
(I didn't save it because I don't take screenshots of everything "Just in case it comes in handy later", that's a really weird behavior to have)

So, "If its lies then why did you report and get my post taken down?" because I, under Gamejolt ToS, have protection against those kinds of posts that actively prey on my downfall and destruction, and will use that protection in the same way everyone else can use it, as is only fair.

And also because in the span that it may take me to take down the lies about me that have been spread about me someone can go in, see the lies and believe them as facts, spreading them to more and more people, and that's something I have seen play out time and time again and do not want to happen.
