Sammy's mom is also nicknamed Sammy, and Sammy (im talking abt Samuel here) is given a similar name bc he somewhat acted like his mother

Samantha is like Sammy's twin sister, similar personality, looks, and name

Samantha was Sammy's role model, but then Samantha was dying of cancer when Sammy was aged 6

Samantha wanted Sammy to promise to keep going without her (like, keep going with music)

when Samantha passed away, thats when Sammy's personality changed and his depression started

before Samantha died, Sammy was somewhat cheerful and even gave a shit about everything

but then after Samantha died, he was more moody and depressed, and lifestyle changed

he wasn't eating much, and usually found laying on the bed

everyday he would listen and play to his mom's old songs

and he would even have flashbacks about her
