For example I got persona 5 royal for Christmas in 2022 and as of this post I have no beaten the game because btw this games takes over 100 hours to beat not really good if you have a short attention span like me (or adhd) with my brain constantly switching between what to hyperfixate on I find it hard pkaying persona for that reason even though it’s an amazing game and I love it I just might not beat it

a game like Astro bot is perfect for me because of its very simple plot I like it (and it deserved game of the year) and it was actually one of the only games in the game of the year category that I actually played and enjoyed (other then the remake and dlc those should not have been nominated what’s so ever) I know that a game like elden ring and bloodbourne would bore me with how long those games are and its story I like fun stories with platforminf why do you think I’m a big sonic fan and as much as a love shooters like splatoon and ig overwatch they’ve run their course I’m not gonna lie I want platformers and games that you don’t have to memorise every characters moves for (as you can tell my opinions on Astro bot winning game of the year is very biased I love this silly little creature I WOULD DIE FOR ASTRO)

there’s a reason why games like Astro bot and especially Mario are popular among the general public and given more evident by sven’s speech (who is one of the devs from the previous game awards winner baulder gates 3) which is powerful and speaks to me as a gamer because it’s why I dispises games like Fortnite that cash grab you and dangle collabs and skins in your face so you can feel good because you have a cosmetic and get made fun of if you don’t (like in overwatch I’ve regretted buying skins because 5hey don’t really do anything for you) games with skins are just weird in general in my opinion but back to my point we should let more creative and fun games like Astro bit thrive because again it won for a reason it’s what people like the most and it should send a message to PlayStation to bring back some of their franchises (GIVE ME VIBRIBBON PLEASE YOU COULD DO SO MUCH WITH THAT CONCEPT NOW A DAYS) anyway rant over I like platformers and rhythm games and story driven games like splatoon (it’s short and sweet)
