Due to how the AI works, this bug might still exist, the AIs only check once when they're near a door to close/open it so if you close the door after that check is done, the AI won't check again, therefore they won't be able to open it.

In FEC1 Night 3 & 4, I think you can time it perfectly so when an animatronic is chasing you, you can stay near an open door and close it right before they reach you.
