Information regarding The Backrooms: 2D Beta Version 1.0!


Hello everyone! Although this page has only been live on Gamejolt for a few days, we've gotten a lot of work done. With each day we inch closer to Beta 1.0, the phase of the game where you will actually be able to play and experience what the backrooms has to offer. Our current plan is as follows:

  • Beta v1.0 will contain ~10 playable levels.

  • The Beta will generally receive bug fixes only, not much content. The idea of the beta is to test the foundation of the game and receive feedback. "New Content" will only be added if it needs to be tested on a larger scale.

  • We will hopefully launch a trailer for the beta before its release to spread the word and show off gameplay!

And, as for the elephant in the room, we're not *exactly* sure when all of this will happen. If all goes smoothly, The trailer should launch in a few days with the beta tagging along. If all doesn't go so smoothly, well... we'll be sure to update you!

Here is a spaceship I was working on. The first one is made in blender 2.7 the next in 2.9. It is actually hard to make your ship look big and detailed. I definitely need your feedback.
