Introduction


Mechonomics has been an on-and-off project of mine for just about a year now. I work entirely within the free version of Gamemaker Studio 1.4, and in fact I’ve never put money into my projects because I don’t expect to make money back. I just had a cool idea and ran with it. In the past I experimented with Gamemaker and made some throw away games just to get used to the program (I had no experience with this sort of thing when I started), but this was the first thing I’ve felt comfortable enough with pursuing. Later I believe I’ll post a more in-depth account on what the game is so far and what all I want to do before releasing a playable version.

Next up

The actual namesake of the game, the mech, is almost finished. Soon I will begin building the demo and then you too can join in on the shredding.
