Hello everyone! @Z3noX here - finally going to tell you some fresh news about our game and how it is going pretty well.
Chapter 1: Most important information.
First, we'd like to introduce you to our first collaboration with https://gamejolt.com/games/yetanotherdusttrustfangame/824379.
We are extremely pleased to host them at our place and to help each other.
Next, the demo we released about a month ago is being removed from our site due to all the decompilation that took place recently. We are disappointed that people are impatient about releasing more versions or the MFA itself. Therefore, we have finally decided never to release any more versions until we officially finish the project (with the release of the game) as we planned from the beginning.
The old versions (1.0.2 and 1.0.3, back in the days of Snowy Night) will be released along with the MFA on an online disk, to make it easier for novice CTF 2.5 developers to create their games.
On the other hand, to SwapDust: Snowstorm - we do not plan to release the MFA for the full version of the game we are still working on.
It is possible that pre-release gameplay teaser videos will be released for SwapDust: Snowstorm. However, we cannot keep this as a promise.
Chapter 2: Progress of our game.
Starting with Overworld - as standard, we started from scratch, that is, with the Overworld engine created by @Darrynne (thank you <3), then we added the Name Selector menu (in a new design along with a huge number of easter eggs), besides that, we have already added the game's progress save system, including the initial rooms that already have ready-to-use elements (such as raising items, functional inventory, etc.).
This GIF shows the first room the player appears in after typing his name.
Chapter 3: Phase 1 Progress.
Everything that was in the last demo released has not been scrapped - phase 1 has been expanded with more attacks that extend the fight against Sans. Still - the fight is still not completed despite our plans. The soundtrack I'm working on is also not finished and it continues to be in the same state as it's currently available on the game's page.
The picture below shows a refreshed version of Phase 1, still not sure yet if it's confirmed, but here's a little teaser from Darry on his new engine.
Basically, from me, that's it. On behalf of the whole team, thank you very much for your huge support in the form of followers, the number of downloads from the game page and your gameplay recordings of our game's previous versions. See you later - next devlog soon!
