Jake Adams and Mioda Saionji have been friends since the beginning of middle school. Their matching personalities clicked and made them inseparable. Everyday after school and on weekends, they would hang around the school's track field and run laps as a fun social activity. Although Mioda isn't into fitness like that, she still participates as a way to connect with him more.

Some times they'd race each other for funsies even if it's scorching hot outside. Since Jake mostly wins, Mioda would either hop on his back or trip him by 'accident' so she could take the lead. It doesn't always work though.
