Greetings. In this devlog, we're going to be announcing the release date of the DEMO and showcase some sneak peeks of what's coming into it.
To this day and still counting, we were able to progress even further regarding gameplay, artwork and music. Everything is pretty much done and placeholders are now not needed anymore, so the deadline is now given.
For anyone who can't be waiting or are very curious of the latest progress, here's the current changelog of what's added before the release of the DEMO.
v1.0.0 Changelog
Added a fully functional Trophy system. This will allow players to fetch all the trophies scattered around the DEMO itself and gather some EXP on their GameJolt profiles.
Sprinting now boosts Kaban's moving speed by a fixed amount rather than a slowly increasing one. This could've caused collision issues after some uses.
Hippo's Property is changed a little. We didn't want to seperate the room layout in the game from the animation series too much.
All the DEMO content itself. All of it, done (precisely) in a year.
Source Code Changes
I have decided not to make the source code to the public after the GameJolt API implementation but archives will be made! Feel free to use all my code there, but crediting is much appreciated!
Next Stop: Jungle Area
Next chapters means new areas and new content! A new 10 minute length experience and endless fun!
Although this is not the end, the development is more likely to go very slow during the next two years. As you might know or not, my university exams are coming close, and there is a ton of work I have to do. A thousand times more work than an average guy on Europe, which makes geography and destiny suck pretty much. Though, I plan to speed up development time after that.
