Luring goofy is pretty easy, if you want to tell if goofy DID respond to your cam off, check for the Breathing sound, he breathes when he moves around.
It becomes more faint the more far away he is, also he always tries to reach the closest entrance to your office. Unless he is in cam 5, where he decides one of the two paths randomly to your office.

we are aware of this by the way, i apologize for the blue outlines but Blender 2.79 is a nightmare to work with when it comes to Mist. We just wanted to only use Blender to render the characters, but it seems we may be forced to use other tools too :/
