Just dealt with the first case of impersonation within the community

Look everyone, GameJolt is a really cool place to share your creations other like minded individuals!

However, it is NEVER okay to impersonate someone else on any platform!

Here's some reasons why:

  • Their Content: They took a long time to build their skills in order to make their content.

  • Legal consequences: Impersonation is a crime with severe legal penalties.

  • Emotional harm: Impersonation causes emotional distress and reputational damage.

  • Trust erosion: Impersonation undermines trust in online interactions.

  • Professional damage: Impersonation can harm careers and professional relationships.

  • Violation of platform policies: Impersonation leads to account suspension or banning.

These are just a few short reasons off the top of my head on why impersonation is not cool and super unethical!

I won't call out the person who did it since that's not really required and I've already had a private talk with them

Just be yourself and post your own content!
