Just got mc java a few days ago here's my review

I got java as part of the java and bedrock merge into one thing, where if u had 1 u could have the other. I was raised a bedrock player so I wanted to see why it was more loved and cherished as well as praised to be better than bedrock and we'll, I was disappointed. 1st off, the graphics and textures aren't as good as bedrocks, I could see it with shaders but not on its own, it was just better than the legacy console versions, secondly: the modding. While most java mods are really advanced and could beat bedrock 10 times over, the installation of said mods is tiring, going through curse forge and then the launcher but then the mod messes up the launcher so it can't load bedrock and when u do get it to work, u most often fail just getting just the resources instead, whereas bedrock has everything packed together in one small easy to open mod file that runs smoothly. I will praise javas ability to install different releases to get rid of bad updates or to go on a nostalgia trip but bedrock can just be retextured with marketplace mods to look better. 3rd off is the gameplay, terrain looks betterly generated than bedrock with more care to where structures spawn, the ability to customise worlds while absent in pc bedrock, as far as I know, is in the old legacy console versions and java pales in comparison to those. And the multilayer, chat reporting sticks out like a sore thumb in the pause menu even in singleplayer unlike in bedrock for now and java is very limited, u can only play with other java players if they have java on other computer types, but bedrock has Windows, console, phone and more, even java if u have a geyser server so another win to bedrock. Last category: menu etc.

Unlike bedrock on the Microsoft store (since the install on all devices feature was removed) java can be redownloaded with ease from the Web and launcher but it let's itself down with the menu, it's the same layout as the legacy versions but with different things, u can only make single player worlds or join a lan game or server, the loading is slow as the older legacy versions but back to the title screen, the logo looks of a noticeably poorer quality, matching almost that of classic, wiicraft and minecraft pi, this is the end of the review, just wanna say, I'm sorry for dunking on java but this is just my unbiased experience of the java version, I always new bedrock had flaws so why not java, some issues might just be me, but anyway I give it a 3-4 stars, but java will almost never be my go to version, I play on PE more than java good bye
