Just learned my grandmother got into a massive argument with a teacher because he wouldn't let my aunt join the chess club because apparently "girls can't play chess"

My aunt ended up joining the chess club the next year

This was back in 1983 lol

TLDR: Grandmother got pissed at teacher and aunt managed to join the chess club
