I’ve seen a only few people mentioning that the real human wiggles are the people in this game, such as someone saying Murray is one of the technicians in Tape 4 with Captain Feathersword breaking his limbs, another saying that the real wiggles are being replaced by robots, and another being a theory The Figure is the fifth wiggle who only appeared in their earliest music videos, and while that’s a pretty funny observation, that isn’t who he is.

I know probably most people don’t think that, but none of the human characters in Phobia are the real wiggles. The human wiggles never existed in Phobia’s universe, and “The Wiggles” has always been an animatronic band at a pizzeria with five main characters. If anything, it would be 100% a coincidence if a first name were to line up with a last name.

Why are the real wiggle’s last names in it sometimes though? This is simply just a nod. Nothing else. It doesn’t truly mean anything.

I just wanted to put this out there. I know not everyone will see it, but I do think the information is important for those who did think that. I understand that it’s easy to see it that way since people aren’t going to think that Phobia is set in a pretty specific universe I’ve made, and that alone can be confusing! This is why I made these choices because I didn’t want to make it about the real wiggles or anything much closer to the wiggles. The last thing I’d want to do is have one of them, be it Greg Page, Anthony Field, Jeff Fatt, or Murray Cook be a human character in the game and have them get hurt or killed. Imagine that if that were the case and one of them in real life passed away. I know Greg Page had a heart attack around early 2020 during a concert for relief of the huge fires that were going on in Australia, and I’m super glad he made it out okay! Back to what I said, if it was like that, I’d be pretty upset if one of them passed away in real life, making my game feel distasteful. It doesn’t sound fun to me, obviously. Instead, I wanted to take their mindless puppets that a majority (even the wiggles included) thought were horrifying and make a spooky FNaF inspired story with them and other original ideas because it was fun. Even though the animatronics inspired by the puppets may be dangerous bloodthirsty killers, the puppets have no personalities in real life, unlike people. All the humans in the game are just my own creations with maybe a nod or two, so unfortunately for them anything can happen to them...

Anyway, again, I know probably not everyone had this speculation, but if someone did, I seriously hope this clears it up! I grew up with the wiggles and I wouldn’t dare do anything about the real people in the game with a more serious tone like the game tends to have.

EDIT: Rather than making a new post to discuss this, I’m going to say it here. I’ve also noticed very few people saying that this game might get taken down in the future like what happened to some of the Jolly fangames. I don’t know which ones were taken down, but I believe it was the ones that were much closer to the source material. While I don’t think this will happen to Phobia, if it does, then I WILL go the extra lengths to make an updated version of ALL the games (if there are more at the time) to change everything related to The Wiggles to something else. If this were to happen, the character’s designs will stay inspired by the puppets, but will change names and designs. The gameplay and story wouldn’t change in the slightest.

I don’t want to worry anyone or anything, because I haven’t been contacted or had anything said to me, but I do want to say that if that were to happen, I will take those lengths to keep Phobia out to the public for everyone to enjoy. I wouldn’t fight, I wouldn’t sob or scream into a pillow, I may be bummed out a little because this is in the name of fun, but their properties are theirs, and if they don’t like it then I can change it to be my own without much problem, really.

Again, don’t worry! Nothing has happened! I’m just putting this out there because, yes, I am a little nervous, but nothing’s wrong, and if nothing goes wrong then I’ll continue to have fun making my silly little spooky game about The Wiggle’s freaky puppets with my own spin!
