Knight Runner: Warmup Time

It’s the final stretch. One more update until the official release! Time for you all to practice before the online scoreboard kicks in! Knight Runner has been a blast to develop and I continue having fun play-testing it. This is the final developmental release before it goes live. The things left on the development include mostly global high scores and some bug zapping.

So, what is Knight Runner about? Years ago I ran into a website of a japanese amateur game developer. What was unique about his games were that they were designed to require a minimal amount of controls to enjoy the objectives of the game. I’ve always thought they were neat, and wanted to design a video game based off the same concept. And out from the depths (not that deep) of my imagination, Knight Runner was born.

Got what it takes? See how far you can go!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Horror WIP A track that will be featured in a future horror game soundtrack! Stay tuned!

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
