Level 0 is the first level of the OKRooms. It is the first level that most people that people will encounter.
Description
Level 0 is a proceedingly changing space, resembling what seems to be a fancy home of sorts, albeit abandoned with very little furniture left behind. All rooms in Level 0 appear uniform and share superficial features such as light blue wallpaper, rugged grey carpet, and lighting that comes from an unknown location, as well as an endless background noise of calming piano music, which will occasionally stop for a moment whenever it hits a bad note for said music, before continuing. However, not only are no two rooms within the Level are identical, but with around every hour, it appears that the layout can change in a very subtle matter.
It is unknown where the lighting is coming from, however it is mostly accepted that the lighting is coming from above, specifically the ceiling somehow.
As for furniture, it mostly consists of chairs and couches, with the occasional sink or toilet. As for if the sinks and toilets have water, that answer is technically yes, however some sinks have 1 faucet and a button to dispense water, in which it’ll be cold or hot depending on the person’s needs.
Linear space in Level 0 can be altered drastically with each hour; it is possible to walk in a straight line and return to the starting point, although retracing your steps doesn’t result in a different set of rooms appearing than the ones already passed through somehow, rather it’ll usually end up either in you getting back to start, or hitting a wall. With that said, consistent navigation is extremely difficult. Devices such as compasses and GPS locators fail to function within the Level whenever the Level’s layout changes.
Level 0 is entirely still and almost devoid of life. Despite the fact that it is the primary entrance to the OKRooms, contact with other wanderers within the Level has been reported on the rare occasion. With this said, a great number of people have died before exiting, the most likely causes being starvation, or psychological trauma due to isolation. However, no corpses have been reported from these hypothetical deaths.
Entities
No known Entities are known to exist within the Level, excluding other humans. If you see, hear, or encounter what you do not believe to be another wanderer, proceed with caution.
Entrances
Purposeful no-clipping out of the bounds of reality is the most consistent way of accessing Level 0, and, by extension, The OKRooms. Some other ways of getting in include:
Falling down the stairs, no-clipping at the end.
Getting a headrush and falling down, again, no-clipping at the end.
Laying down face first for too long, no-clipping through the floor
Backwords long jumping In real life.
There is also an entrance in Level 4, as No-clipping inside a skyscraper will result in you ending up here.
More Entrances will be added overtime.
Exits
Exiting Level 0 is only possible by no-clipping, which will either result in entry to Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3. As newcomers to Level 0 are often unfamiliar with the mechanics of the Backrooms, it is necessary to keep your bearings and adapt quickly to the environment in order to exit.
If people should find a corner to backflip off a heavy object towards, they will end up in Level 5.
