Leveling mechanics and more!

So if you just read the main page you would notice that this game doesn’t rely on the traditional leveling system of battling monsters, gain experience and level up. The game instead uses a newer system were instead of grinding for levels you now level up by buying or finding different items to raise your base stats. Weapons and Armors can also contribute to your stats.

Here is a quick run down of the items you will be using in the game.

Life Up (Increases MaxHP by 60 points)
Ammo Box (Increase max ammo by 20)
Power Up (Increases Physical attack by 20)
Guard Up (Increases Defense by 20)
Tune Up (Increases Gun Attack stat by 20)
Bullet Shield (Increases Gun Defense by 20)
Speed Up (Increases Agi by 20)
Luck Up (Increases Luck by 20)

Theres also + versions of all 8 of these that you can find that will increase them even more but those will be extremely rare, you will probably say “if you solely rely on these to level up, it will make the game easy because there too common!” well that’s not true, yes you can get all these items by buying them but there not cheap. And you can even get them as rewards for doing side quests, and even find them in random locations. But there going to be around the uncommon range.

Now what’s this Gun attack and defense thing?

Well simple instead of using magic you’ll be using guns, its basically the magic system but with different graphics. I went with guns because I felt it would go better with the type of story and game I’m making.

All party characters (except for one) stats will be

MAXHP- 50
MAX AMMO- 50
Attack- 10
Defense- 10
Gun Attack- 10
Gun Defense- 10
AGI- 10
LUCK- 10

You can basically make the party play out how you want exactly, want to make one strictly a gun user? Go for it, want to make one a fast and hard hitting brute? DO IT, Want to make them all demi gods? DOOO IT. The leveling system offers a lot of flexibility in how you want to play it.

With that also being said I’m trying my damnest to make sure this game is balanced well in the end, I know making a leveling system like that can bring all sorts of trouble if not done properly, so I’ve been hard at work making sure everything is done well.

FOR GAMEJOLT USERS ONLY

I’m adding trophy support to the full game when it’s released some time this lifetime!

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

The whole squad is here!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
