The container is the Luigi imitation body, but it wasn't its first container; he has gone through several bodies until ending up with his current body.

The body's purpose is to reduce/mask the hunger; it's made of unliving bio material, so it's like touching a non-rotting corpse.

Lewy is incapable of human emotions or thoughts; however understands how to at least mimic them.

Lewy, in his container, is docile, but getting too chummy with it might cause it to feed.

Its movement style is similar to The Unknown from DBD, where it cracks and twists itself to move around. This is because it has no actual muscles or bones, just outer flesh with its true form within.
