How did we get here?

Concept: Semi-open world Dark Souls-esque dark fantasy mildly dieselpunk first person melee fighter RPG about a half dead guy who uses axes to fight pseudo-zombies and occasionally monsters in a forgotten land.

That guy from the Tournament flashback but old.
