A very unique take at what lies after death. Except with more puzzles. The developer Playdead creates an eerie but somehow calming environment using the way they designed the trees, the people, the fact theres no color and yet you can tell what you're facing up against. i love a good horror take on what would otherwise be a relatively simple puzzle game. It makes the moments where you’re on a timer that much scarier.
For those who have never seen the game, you play as a young boy who has just awoken in Limbo. They don’t appear to have a goal other than to keep moving forward, nor do they ever show any emotion. This kid is ready to kick ass.
This game is definitely best played in a dark room to set the atmosphere, but also so you can see without squinting or turning the brightness up. The darkness adds character.
The game is very good at adding new puzzles or elements simply by changing little details and forcing you into situations where you not only have to think differently, but play differently. I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. Took around 2-3 hours to complete the first run.
9/10. Might actually play it again.
