LISA: The Dauntless is now looking for new team members! Details below.

Okay, so, here's a secret: I work EMBARASSINGLY slow on my own due to a combination of mental and physical health issues and inexperience as a dev. I can theoretically do everything on my own, sure, but I think if I want Dauntless to be done sometime this decade I should really enlist some help. So that's what I'm doing!

Most of the story for Dauntless exists either as draft text or as a sticky thought that won't leave my brain until I get it made. The upshot to this is that we don't need story devs, though I do APPRECIATE story feedback and input it's not necessary. That and I can and will enjoy filling you in on everything that's planned. I like talking about Dauntless, as it's my brain child and kind of my baby in that regard - I hope you'll be as hyped for it as I am.

What we actually need: Anyone with actual working engine knowledge. People who know how to make combat good, for one thing. Or make combat at all (I technically can but I'm slow at it due to, again, inexperience). Dauntless has a LOT of potential party members and I have a general idea behind how all of them will work mechanically, but actually ACTUALIZING that is another story, and any advice or assistance would be a lifesaver.

It would also be good to have assistance with organization and formal project structuring, as both things are pretty foreign to me.

We don't NEED additional sprite/tile artists but we also wouldn't turn them away either - it could help significantly speed things up to a point.

Things to keep in mind:

-Again, I'm very slow as a worker and pretty prone to distraction (unmedicated ADHD will do that to ya). Having others working will help with this as an accountability thing (if someone else is working on my game I'll certainly feel pretty bad if I'm not!) but I also just have health issues I'm struggling with at present as well.

-This game is very very gay and trans. If you're not cool with that, maybe find something else to help with.

-This game isn't really being made by someone who habitually follows every single thing that happens in the LISA fandom. That being said, I'm hoping an outsider perspective is a breath of fresh air. On the other hand, that might mean I'm treading old ground without knowing. Whatever's the case, I'm not trying to make something that Absolutely Everyone will like (since that usually doesn't work, and my policy is that earnest weirdness tends to be more successful and admirable).

-You'll have to agree to our conduct rules.

-This game is BIG. The planned story goes over seven chapters and one intermission chapter (eight in total) with each chapter shifting perspectives and protagonists around. Even with assistance this is probably a longer term project. That's not to say you can't join up and then quit later, it's just something to keep in mind.

-We do all our work over Discord pretty much.

If you have any interest, you can talk to me either here or over my Discord at pom#1629. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Slowly chipping away at OFOR.

pictured: me getting hit with the neuro-impairment halfway through coding yet another giant dialogue tree for OFOR

CHRIST B*TCH!!!!! Stop emoting so much!!!!

For reference I included the equivalent compliment of campfire sprites for Buzzo (it literally fits into a file with the $ prefix)

This will be OFOR in 2030

(flags: demisexual + one of a few generalized flags for queerness, transfeminine + bi) Happy Pride, Gamejolt. Let's talk about queerness in the thing I'm working on. Spoilers and crap under the cut.

two funny things about this talk tree: -it's missing one of the branches that was added post-planning (to handle a loop) -it's only accessible if you got to one of two talk branches on the OTHER huge tree (one of the ones that ups a specific variable)

there's an expressions spritesheet (that's actually not used for anything cus the formatting on it is incorrect) and there is this configuration of sprites on it and I want to see whatever would cause them to just Look At Each Other In Concern like this.

The absolute state of LCM rope climbing

alright brad now you need to pick between your arm and your party member
