So, it's been a little over 10 months since our first devlog. What's happening?

If it wasn't already obvious, things have been very quiet in regards to the game recently, having been announced to be in an indefinite hiatus outside of this gamejolt page at the end of last year. Unfortunately, the hiatus hasn't yet been fully lifted, but there are things to talk about.

First, there HAS been a little bit of progress throughout this hiatus, mostly involving programming and composing, as well as communications and planning out what it is we want to do when development picks up again. While there isn't anything particularly exciting to share, take a low res screenshot and an attack from the sans fight!

Second, why the hiatus? As of right now, our focus has simply been elsewhere on other projects that we want to get out of the way before tackling Plan B, specifically being Hyper's Deltarune Roleplay: Twisted Timelines (DRTT), a Deltarune roleplaying game on Roblox, and my Underswap: Dismal Oblivion, a Distrust take. Once both of these projects are fully done and released, we have decided that that's when we want to fully lift the hiatus and get this game done!

When will this happen though? As of now, Hyper's DRTT is nearing its launch, being later this month. After the game's out, more focus will be moved towards Dismal Oblivion to ensure that game gets out. It's a much smaller game then what this is planned to be, and much of what needs to be done is already done, so hopefully it wont take TOO long to prepare for launch. Afterwards, Plan B's development will be shifted back to full throttle!

While giving even somewhat vague dates has proven to be a terrible idea, a vague time period for when Plan B's development could start up again judging off of where we are now sits around mid-2024. Please do take this with a grain of salt, as this could either end up being sooner or later.

One last thing, with this post, I'm happy to announce that the hiatus will be (partially) lifted! This is because I have completed about all of what I currently need to for Dismal Oblivion. From now, I will be working on more assets for Plan B, so possibly expect some teasers every now and then while we wait for the hiatus to lift completely!
