Log of November (2020) - Demo release aftermath (Read article)


Hello again,

A month ago we released our first public demo for Faded Solitude. Let us know what you thought about it! What was fun? What was difficult?


Demo Aftermath

While the numbers haven't gone up by a lot, they have gone up :)

In all cases, we recieved a nice list of bugs and gamefeel improvements, which our coder (@RocketBoyweee ) has adressed and fixed. New build is coming up very soon (Update: 0.1.4 is out now).

We've also reached 103 followers! Thanks to everyone who've joined so far. We'll continue updating you on our gamedev journey until this game is done. :)


November Development

  1. Bug fixing
    We could into details, but the main thing is that the game is stable on most computers.

    We've encountered one player whose computer couldn't run the game past the menu screen. Our coder still looking into this mystery. If you've encountered the same thing: Please message us!

  2. Improving gamefeel
    This includes fixes for the dialogue choices, and how the interaction menu appears.

  3. Developing the next level
    We've had a rough plan of how things will go in this next part of the story, but now we're getting into the specifics. We already have quite a few textures we can implement.

    Here's the latest finished background [Hidden, just in case. Contains topless greek statue. Profane, I know! ]:

Log of June (2022) - Summer begins!

@VuVuuInc is a Jolter to Watchand solo game dev who created 6 games including Tiny Terraces! Follow @VuVuuInc before the quest ends on July 22 and you'll get Coins!

I released the OST on my Soundcloud, along with a bonus track, titled 'Depth'.

I'm planning on returning to this game next year and expand/refine it a bit: A Water-dungeon, npc's and generally more to interact with.
