LW devlog 3: Crisis

Read article below

Hello guys, past news weren't too great. Content update pushed out by more than a YEAR, and I know, the biggest remaster of the modpack is utterly delayed. Nothing of value will be lost, and despite 1.3.1 being full of... well, minor bugs (blame bugs in mods and unfair configs, those will change.) But, here we go.

Times of crisis... yeah, those just happen. Going through a major issue in family, first thing is fixing that, then time for projects. For those who have been unaware, I live with my father, and I go through a LOT each damn day. School, art, and learning are taking up my days. I'm not allowed to play videogames, and development of this modpack is, well, considered gaming for my father, as it is about a videogame and all. However, gamers and developers (even if it's a modpack of already made mods, configs need to be tweaked and tested) are two different types of people.

Recently, I lost a few major projects, including my own work-in-progress game, Shadowfall. It was going to be a fighting game, containing my own characters, and having an open-world aesthetic spliced into the engine, but apparently, developing something and testing it is gaming to my father, so here I am, lost of team, and without much to progress alone. I was responsible for roughly 20% of in-game music, 12 of alternate mixes, team direction and all of the arts and designs for locations, characters, map, menus, and icons for status effects. I was trying to keep Project Shadowfall as a secret from the media, but as it is just lost, there's nothing much to await. I would have wanted to continue the game, but everything ends I guess. Some of the things I made are still spliced and left in some parts of my PC, including some of the music, though I will remake it with my fixed rigs once I get my hands on a better PC.

Now back to LW. As you all know, Legacy is finished fully, no more updates to be released, as it is just an old version of LW Survival. LW Survival is temporarily discontinued, yet not cancelled or finished off. It will be continued.

Regarding the 1.4b progress as where it was left off... Morf, the crayon eater of my Fireteam, was supposed to be doing BiomeTweaker configs, yet the complete configs never saw daylight. Even I don't know about them or the progress on that part, to be honest.

That's all for now.

Have a nice day, or whatever time of the day it is for you,

Ancient out.

Progress with the sketch

Scene 4 is how the Forestborn died prior to the comic's start, the character behind the killing blow won't be revealed and isn't canon to Undying at all other than the death. It's none of the characters in my lores, too.

Still cooking...

And the full page progress. Not much improved on scene 4, will make it sometime later.

I recently drew these two

Chad Malefactor and silly Bronze Locust

Scene 6- art based on the Malefactor class introduction, "Terrible things are done at the heart of despair. She is gone, but you remain."

How I imagined Bearfirth from Story Excerpt-The Morning. The original Malefactor.

I haven't forgotten about this one

Relinearted and colored the head of this silly fellow

My lining pen is out of ink now, unfortunately.

Undying

The comic's first page is being worked on, rough sketch state

There isn't much to it, just two traditional art scenes left unfinished

Made more progress with the fifth scene.

He was not seen without the Malefactor Whitewood Mask before.

Work-in-progress ref sheet for the Forestborn

Really interesting character in his own way.

The two different types of shrimp
