M.A.R.S. Extraction 1.7.9.1 is out with Oculus Rift Support


Hi Zero-Gravity Gamers!

I’m happy (and proud) to announce that M.A.R.S. Extraction 1.7.9.1 is now ready to play or download and it is compatible with the Oculus Rift! Don’t forget that you can download the full or free version on itch.io.

What’s new

New

  • Oculus Rift Support (requires Runtime 0.7 minimum)

  • Credit screen updated

  • Local Multiplayer mode, up to 4 player on the same screen! (limited to 2 players for the free version)

  • New options menu

  • Added more post effects (antialiasing, motion blur, vignette)

  • Added an option to force the touch controls

  • Added an option to display the FPS

  • Added a camera switcher for the TPS mode and the cockpit mode

  • The shader quality has 3 profiles (2 before)

  • UI are animated

  • Updated Android Cardboard SDK

  • The lasers uses a trail renderer instead of a cylinder

Optimizations

  • AI is disabled if the player is too far

  • A lot of work on the performance

Since Unity 5.2.2. I’ve some issues with the WebGL build. So for now there is no new WebGL build (I hope it’ll be fixed in the next Unity build).
