I don't know how to start a devlog to be honest.
I forgot to annouce this here but I am working on a DEMO update to the Recoded DEMO, to add some more stuff, fix some bugs, and add some player requested features. (We love your feedback!) all designed to make the game better, fun, and accessible.
Whats with the name change?
Maniac Mania recoded was not a good name, even at the start I did not want it to stick. So I planned for a while, putting pieces of a puzzle together until I got the name Maniac Mania Infinite. Simple, yet effective.
Imagine if Recoded was the name when it fully released? Borrriinng.
Whats coming next update?
New AIs (Origin Sonic, Shadow Sonic, Clone Mighty, Dr.Golden) capping off the OG roster, leaving the new characters for the full game.
New and returning skins. I would love to list some but, well, it's simply too much.
Echo Characters. Skins that change ones AI, you saw one of them last devlog, I will go more in detail about this soon, perhaps in April?
Settings menu (Another way to turn fullscreen on, VSync, and much much more!)
Balance changes and bug fixes.
A final note.
As of writing this I am about to hit 9K followers, which is mental, imagine fitting all of those people in place? That would be insane, so I want to say that me and the team are greatful for your support.
MMI is turning out better than expected, and I am glad people are enjoying the DEMO, so we hope the next DEMO won't disappoint.
Anyway, that is all for now, I am sure this update won't take as long as the DEMO took, but it won't be ready in a matter of a week, it will take time to draw, program, and test.
Don't worry, no waiting on ending sprites this time. ;)
