Hello! It's been a while. Wanted to give a quick update on what's been happening.
Also, February 21st marked the second anniversary of the first public release of Undertale Red & Yellow!
Two years! Wow. I can feel my skin getting wrinkly already. It's turning into dust... My bones are rusting.... I'm melting into goo...
In any case, thank you to everyone who's played the mod until now.
I'll try to make this short.
What *is* 3.0?
I realize some people may not know the specifics of what this update will bring, so I thought to detail it here.
3.0 will be the final and (by far) biggest major update Undertale Red & Yellow will receive. More rooms to explore, many more battles, cutscenes, dialogue, and more.
In short, after this version, all my ideas for what Red & Yellow could be will have been implemented. Consider it this mod reaching its full potential. My final love letter to Undertale and Undertale Yellow.

Given this info, you might wonder...
How far along is 3.0?
I said in the last post I don't like giving percentages, because they tend to be inaccurate. But to give you a rough idea...
3.0's new content is comprised of:
3 'new' major areas, where you can visit familiar sights seen in a new light,
More than 15 new battles
Hundreds of rooms and cutscenes
And much more!
As of the time I'm writing this:
One battle's attacks are currently being developed,
Around 5 rooms are roughly finished while 5 others are being made
4 cutscenes have been added
3 songs have been composed,
And a small amount of assets have been sprited.
It might not seem like much, but true development didn't really pick up until recently, so I'd say that's pretty decent progress. Some parts of the process are slower than the rest, so if development speed seems unbalanced, that might be why.
I'm determined to work on this until it's done.
So...
When is 3.0 releasing?
I don't know. But I can confidently say it won't be this year. Maybe it won't even be the next. I won't try to rush this, because I want it to be the best it can be, so it'll take time. I understand if hearing this makes you feel discouraged, but all I can ask is that you remain patient. I can't wait to show you what we have in store.
I believe that about covers it for now. I hope to have more to share with you in the near future.
The world is as big as you want it to be.

So let's go as far as we can, OK?
