Maturity filter or not?


In the process of developing this game, I have included with no shame, a few mature rated jokes. Nothing explicit mind you, but for the sake of being family friendly I want to ask you all:

Should I include a maturity filter?

This filter would be able to be activated at the very beginning of the game and would replace the otherwise mature humor that many long time bronies would get with family friendly jokes. I could even add the option in the main menu to turn this filter on or off at will.

I want the game to be fun for everyone, not just adults but I’m not sure if my game’s audience extends past the adult crowd. So that’s why I’m asking here, to get a global opinion on the matter.
