Good night, everyone. Thought I’d give a proper update on what’s going on with my breathing tonight, as it’s been a bit more dramatic than usual.
Earlier this evening I made the grave mistake of lying down, at which point my chest immediately decided to tighten up like it was auditioning for a Victorian fainting scene. Normally, once I sit back up, everything settles within a few minutes. However, tonight my lungs have elected to remain in “absolutely not” mode, and the tightness has been rather persistent.
For context, I deal with chronic shortness of breath fairly regularly. It tends to flare up when I’m tired, unwell, or when my chest muscles simply refuse to cooperate which, frankly, is more often than I’d like. Most episodes follow abpredictable pattern and resolve quickly, but tonight’s has been a bit more stubborn, as if my lungs have unionised and are staging a slow‑breathing protest.
I’m upright now, taking things slowly, and waiting for my chest to relax. I’m not in any immediate danger, just uncomfortable and mildly annoyed at my own respiratory system. If I go quiet for a bit, that’s why.
Thank you for your patience.
